Sue Meloy (Van Kampen) longtime Grand Ledge resident, passed away on March 16, 2021 in Lansing, MI. Sue was born October 26, 1943 in Detroit, Michigan. She received an Associate’s Degree in Music from Lansing Community College and a Bachelor’s of Art and Master’s Degree in Library Science from Western Michigan University. Sue joined Springport, Portland and Neff Schools, retiring each time just to be called back into service. She was instrumental in developing the “Mystery Book Club”, Wednesday morning bible study, and loved to spend time gardening. Sue loved music and enjoyed the time she spent in choir and Singers on the Grand where she performed in many solos, duets, quartets and cantatas. Sue will be remembered for her musical gifts, her willingness to help and serve others, and her faithful prayer life. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, C. Robert Van Kampen and her sister Patricia E. Meloy of Madison, WI. Sue is preceded in death by her mother, H. Eleanor Meloy, who was a teacher at both Libertyville and Mundelein High Schools.
