Bob was born January 25, 1943 in Libertyville and died Wednesday March 28, 2018 at Advocate Condell Medical Center, in Libertyville. Bob was a Vietnam Veteran who served in the US Army and he was a member of the Mundelein American Legion Post#867.  He was a former Mundelein Police Officer and Mundelein’s first Canine Police Officer.  He retired from Mundelein Public Works after 37 years of service.  Bob enjoyed fishing, tinkering with most anything, playing pool and he was a tremendous dancer. He helped many friends and relatives with handyman projects.  Bob was also the former owner of Bob’s Lock & Key.  Most of all he adored his grandchildren.Bob is survived by his children Dan (Kris) Bockhaut, Jennifer (John) Tomlin, Lindsay (John) Ayers, his brother John (Trish) Pflug, his sister Marjorie (Dan) McCormick, sister in-law Tess, grandchildren Cody, Andrew, Annie and Maddie.  He was preceded in death by his brother David Pflug and his wife Corinne.  In lieu of flowers memorials to the American Heart Association at www.heart.org  or Disabled American Veterans at www.dav.org.

Visitation is from 4-8 PM Thursday April 5, 2018 at the Kristan Funeral Home PC 219 West Maple Ave. (2 blocks west of Rt. 45 on Rt. 176) Mundelein.  Funeral service 10 AM.
